It is by definition of the word a hidden gem in Houston. Brash Brewing Company in Houston, TX is off Crosstimbers at 510 W. Crosstimbers behind apartments in an unassuming warehouse. The entrance is right off of a fork in the road down what appears to be an alley way. They are up there as a fantastic craft brewery Houston Texas has to offer.
Of the Houston craft breweries, this is the most metal. The names of the beers rock out as much as the brewery that they were born in. Abide, Biggie Smalls, Black Mass, Cali Green, Cold Ass Honkey, Pussy Wagon may be confusing, and perhaps a little unusual inevitably pushes the envelope. Memorable and unforgettable thus doing the job the name was meant to do. Brash Brewing Company appears to favor pale ales and IPA’s. No, this is not Bud from the local dispensary. These are fantastic Texas beers that are brewed right here in Houston.
When you find it, you will also find the most delicious Houston beer and the best arcade games you wish you had when you were a kid. A wide assortment of 80s arcade games including Donkey Kong, Space Invaders, and Double Dragon to name just a couple. Rejoice at the jukebox belting metal and rock. Heavy on the metal albums that was the inspiration for Brash’s catalog of metal-influenced beers such as Vulgar Display of Power. This medium will make for a unique Sunday Funday and a little more ABV on your visit to Houston craft breweries.
The tap room is open from 7 p.m. to midnight Thursday and Friday and from 6 p.m. to midnight Saturday. Open later than most of the other Houston craft breweries. Brash Brewing Company is probably best as the last stop.
