When Holler Brewing opened in December of 2016, it wasn't soon enough for the craft beer fans in Houston. Houston’s brewery scene was expanding at a rapid rate, with microbreweries and brew houses cropping up from the Heights to Magnolia and all the other parts of the greater Houston area. Yes, another addition to the craft brewery Houston Texas has to offer! Located close to downtown Houston off Washington Ave on the Silver St. Studio building they have installed 19 taps for all their unique drafts. Holler Brewing Co is a must stop to enjoy inside the loop for a craft beer tour.
I am a big fan of the community feel and the layout. It is easy to take a group of friends during the afternoon on the weekend and just let it get away from you on the patio. A big plus for family owned small operation. There are huge windows that look into the production floor while you are in line to the bar An exceptional situation for a Sunday Funday , Houston brewery tour, or a staycation style day trip from Houston.
Very developed list of beers. A constantly rotating list of about nine different styles. The Pils, ESB, Marzen are all fantastic and spot on for the style. The ESB is probably my favorite in town, and the Pils ranks up there with 5 O'Clock. They have done Saisons, IPA's, Imperial Stouts, all incredibly well made classic styles. For a craft beer brewery representing the Houston beer scene, this is as good as it gets!
With millions of people who live in the city, I am sure there is a f lavor profile here for someone. Holler Brewing Company is a must add to any brew tour of Houston area breweries. Try a flight and sample all of the ones for yourself would be my suggestion. You won't find any generic pint glasses at Holler Brewing Co. Beers are served in glassware appropriate for the specific brew, allowing for the enjoyment of the beer's aroma, color, and foam. Beers are $5 each, and the pour size depends on the style. Beer enthusiasts who want a taste of each beer will be glad to know that a "Flock of Hollers" is available for $15 and includes six 5-ounce pours.
Holler Brewing is part of the Buzzed Tour Central Tour and can occasionally be an extra stop as time permits!
